The final voiceover from adult Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is devastating: “For years, I told people my father wasn’t a smart man. I was wrong. He was smart enough to love us without expecting anything in return. I just wish I’d realized it before he took his last trip.” Season 7, Episode 10 isn’t just a finale; it’s a eulogy for childhood.
