If you think unblocking is as simple as clicking a button again, you are partially right. However, Facebook has a specific set of rules regarding how blocking and unblocking actually work. Hit the wrong button, and you might think the person has deleted their profile entirely.

If you cannot find the "Blocking" menu, use the search bar inside Settings. Type "Block" and it will appear instantly. When you block someone, you basically delete their historical interaction with your profile from your view. Unblocking does not restore the history. Rule #4: You Can’t Block and Unblock Repeatedly If you are the type of person who blocks someone every Tuesday and unblocks them every Friday, Facebook will eventually prevent you from unblocking them for a period of time (sometimes 30+ days).
