"The Grudge" is a Japanese horror film directed by Takashi Shimizu, which was later remade in Hollywood in 2004. The movie tells the story of an American nurse named Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar) who works in Tokyo, Japan. While on a short-term assignment, Karen becomes haunted by a vengeful spirit known as "Kayako" (played by Takako Fuji), who was murdered in a Tokyo house by her husband.
