It has been three years since the doors of the infamous Hard Academy slammed shut on the fourth installment. Fans thought the franchise was done. They thought the curriculum of chaos had graduated for good.

But in Hard Academy 5 , Rocco isn't just back—he’s hunting. Director Lena Petrova (known for Steel Rain and Neon Justice ) takes over the reins from original creator Darrin Holt. According to Petrova, HA5 strips away the wire-fu and flashy gunplay of the previous sequels. “This is Rocco’s Taxi Driver ,” Petrova said at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo. “He’s not trying to win a tournament. He’s trying to burn the Academy down from the inside. The fighting is claustrophobic. It’s ugly. It’s two men in a cell with nothing but broken bottles and rage.” The "No Rules" Rule One major change for Hard Academy 5 is the removal of the "Point System" that defined the first four films.
