I just fixed this on my own E6420 yesterday. Here is the deal:

Even with the driver installed, Windows Hello (face/fingerprint login) will not work natively. You must install the "Dell Data Protection | Security Tools" software from the same driver page to enroll fingerprints for Windows login.
